Here you can register for the workshop "Photovoltaics in Development Projects" from 26th to 28th November, 2021 in the Black Forest/Germany.
The PV-Workshop of Ingenieure ohne Grenzen is intended for everyone who is interested in installing a PV off-grid system in a developing country. Experienced lecturers in the field of solar island systems give insights in the physical and technical fundamentals and also cover typical challenges and obstacles associated with off-grid projects in countries of the Global South. The sessions will be instructed by renowned experts such as Peter Adelmann, professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Ulm.
The focus of the workshop is the strong practical orientation. All required steps how to design and build a solar off-grid system will be covered in hands-on sessions: Calculation and design of a system, mounting on a roof-top, commissioning and maintenance of the system.
The workshop is intended to initiate and foster a network of enthusiasts for PV off-grid systems, which can help to share experiences of already implemented projects as well as support to initiate new projects. On Saturday evening everyone will have the chance to present his/her own project and we want to discuss together on possible challenges and experiences learned from already implemented projects.
The language of instruction will be English, except if only German speakers register, we will do the lectures and hands-on session in German. If only German speakers are in your hands-on group, you can of course also communicate in German.
Registration is open until 31 October 2021.
The number of participants is limited to 35.
Please understand that due to the Corona pandemic only vaccinated, recovered or tested people are allowed to participate in the workshop.
